The Port of Rotterdam will reinforce its position as the leading European gateway for refrigerated and frozen agri-food products from South America by developing 38 hectares of specialized logistics infrastructure in the Europoort area. The project, named "Rotterdam Food Hub," will include a new port terminal, cold storage warehouses, its own energy infrastructure, and direct access to docks to optimize the reception and distribution of cargo destined for the European market. To concretize the initiative, the Port Authority of Rotterdam signed an agreement with Necron Group and PTP Group, companies that will be in charge of developing the various facilities. As part of the project, the port authority will build a dock over 500 meters long and a breakwater intended to protect maritime operations.
