[Motive](http://gomotive.com/) unveiled several integrated hardware and AI updates at Vision 26, its annual innovation summit. The announcements include AI Omnicam Plus, new AI Dashcam Plus capabilities, Atlas, Automations, and AI Vision.

The company said the new capabilities are designed to address fragmented tools and manual workflows across physical operations.

Now we’re helping our customers leverage AI to surface critical insights and automate interventions so they can run safer and more productive operations.”

## AI Omnicam Plus Adds 360-Degree Visibility

Motive said AI Omnicam Plus (above) is a new camera system designed to provide AI-powered 360-degree visibility around a vehicle.

The system is built on the AI Dashcam Plus platform and powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing QCS6490 processor. Motive said the system can run more than 30 AI models simultaneously. This allows it to detect road hazards in real time with high accuracy and low latency.

Through an in-cab monitor, drivers can view the area around the vehicle from every angle. Motive said the 360-degree view and real-time alerts are designed to help drivers identify risks involving pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles.

## AI Dashcam Plus Gains New Safety Features

Motive also announced new capabilities for AI Dashcam Plus. It is a commercial vehicle AI dash cam, which the company said combines telematics and cameras in a single device.

New features include Collision Avoidance, which uses two road-facing lenses and a Qualcomm AI processor to track road users and predict their movement. Motive said the system is designed to provide earlier alerts when a pedestrian, cyclist, vehicle, or animal may enter the driver’s path.

The updated AI Dashcam Plus also includes Automated License Plate Recognition, using a 1440p zoom lens to capture plates while a vehicle is moving. Motive said the feature is intended to support investigations involving hit-and-runs, road rage, theft, and other incidents.

Additional capabilities include AI-powered Speed Sign Detection, which reads posted speed signs rather than relying only on map databases. Additionally, it has Live Two-Way Calling, which allows drivers and managers to communicate hands-free through the device.

## Atlas AI Assistant Turns Data Into Action

Motive introduced Atlas, a new AI assistant that allows customers to ask questions, analyze data, and take action from one place.

The company said Atlas uses Motive AI to surface information from across the platform, helping users review vehicle health, safety events, and compliance issues without searching across multiple systems or relying on static reports.

Emily Parsons, staff product manager at Motive demonstrating how Motive’s connected AI systems can help fleets quickly analyze and interpret large data sets.

Through Motive’s Model Context Protocol integration, Atlas can also extend into third-party AI tools, including Claude and ChatGPT. Motive said this allows customers to connect Motive data with other internal and third-party data sources for tasks such as insurance benchmarking and data-backed renegotiation proposals.

Atlas also works through the Motive Voice Assistant in the cab. Drivers can use voice commands to call dispatch, record video, and access help without taking their eyes off the road.

## Automations Respond to Real-Time Signals

Motive also introduced Automations, which the company said can trigger actions based on real-time signals.

For example, if a vehicle reports a critical fault code, Motive said the system can contact the driver and instruct them to pull over before the driver or manager notices the issue.

Managers can apply Automations across safety, maintenance, and operations. Motive said examples include detecting excessive idling and prompting drivers to shut off the engine, flagging hours-of-service and compliance risks, contacting drivers when fatigue or fault codes are detected, and assigning a Motive Card to a new driver’s digital wallet.

## AI Vision Automates Visual Data Capture

Motive said AI Vision uses computer vision to turn video into structured operational data.

The company said AI Vision can help automate tasks that drivers and field workers traditionally document manually, such as service issues, site hazards, and other field observations.

For waste services, Motive said AI Vision includes specialized models for overage detection, recycling contamination detection, and service verification. Overage detection can identify overfilled waste containers at the point of service, helping organizations verify work, bill for violations, and adjust bin sizing without manual entry from the driver.
