You can access your books and audiobooks in the Books app ![](https://help.apple.com/assets/69F8EBBDF3B89A4F6E0C704C/69F8EBC43862495245036393/en_US/f8320af1656515771e747cbc0eed5bd3.png) on your other Apple devices such as your iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. You can also sync your reading position, highlights, notes, library collections, and more.

## Access your books on your other devices

To keep your Books content and information updated across your other Apple devices, sign in to the same [Apple Account](https://support.apple.com/en-ie/guide/iphone/aside/iphfd5021a18/26/ios/26) on each device, then do any of the following:

-   _Automatically download purchases made on other devices:_ Go to Settings ![](https://help.apple.com/assets/69F8EBBDF3B89A4F6E0C704C/69F8EBC43862495245036393/en_US/610900798ec772fa266e98f9f6042807.png) > Apps > Books, then turn on Purchases from Other Devices.
    
-   _Sync reading position, bookmarks, notes, and highlights:_ Go to Settings > \[_your name_\] > iCloud, tap See All next to Saved to iCloud, then turn on Books.
    
-   _Sync Home, Library, and collections:_ Go to Settings > Apps > Books, then below Syncing, turn on Home and iCloud Drive.
    

## Access your books on your Mac

To see your books, audiobooks, and PDFs on your Mac, do one of the following:

-   _macOS 15 or later:_ Choose Apple menu ![](https://help.apple.com/assets/69F8EBBDF3B89A4F6E0C704C/69F8EBC43862495245036393/en_US/b9fde8d26f37cf34243c7d64f3508b17.png) > System Settings, click your name at the top of the sidebar, then click iCloud. Click iCloud Drive, click Apps Syncing to iCloud Drive, then turn on Books.
    
-   _macOS 13–14.5:_ Choose Apple menu > System Settings, click your name at the top of the sidebar, then click iCloud. Click iCloud Drive, click Apps syncing to iCloud Drive, then select Books. Click Back, then click Done.
    
-   _macOS 10.15–12.5:_ Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Apple ID. Click iCloud in the sidebar, then select iCloud Drive. Click Options, then select Books.
    
-   _macOS 10.14 or earlier:_ Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud. Select iCloud Drive, click Options, then select Books.
    

To see your collections, bookmarks, notes, and highlights on your Mac, open Books, then do one of the following:

-   _macOS 13 or later:_ Choose Books > Settings, click General, then select “Collections, bookmarks, and highlights.”
    
-   _macOS 12.5 or earlier:_ Choose Books > Preferences, click General, then select “Collections, bookmarks, and highlights.”
