## Four steps,
one lasting habit.

The schedule does the remembering, so you don't have to. Learn a term once, then answer it a handful of times over the following months until it's yours for good.

1. **Pick a course.** Write your own list of terms, or enroll in one someone in the community already made.

2. **Learn.** Learn mode introduces new terms and drills them until you can recall each one without help.

3. **Review.** Each term comes back on the day it's due — starting hours after you learn it, then further apart every time you get it right.

4. **Remember.** After nine correct reviews a term is in long-term memory, and you only see it twice a year.

## FAQ

Everything you need to know before you learn your first term.

What is spaced repetition?

Spaced repetition is a learning technique where review intervals gradually increase as you remember a term. Memorix schedules each term's next review based on how confidently you answered it — easy terms come back in days, difficult ones in hours.

How does Memorix decide when to show a term again?

Every term moves through nine review levels. The first review comes four hours after you learn it, and each correct answer pushes the next one further out — 12 hours, a day, six days, and so on up to six months. Get one wrong and it drops back to the first level, so you see it again the same day.

Can I create my own courses?

Yes. After signing up, visit [library](https://memorix.app/library), and start creating your own course. Each course has a slug and a private editor — you can save drafts, preview, and publish when you're ready. Published courses appear in the [browse](https://memorix.app/courses) immediately.

Is Memorix free to use?

Yes. Memorix is free for learners and authors. There is no paid tier and no usage cap on review sessions.

Can I study offline?

Review sessions require a connection so progress can sync to your account. Offline support is on the roadmap.
