An Israeli construction company that builds and maintains infrastructure projects in and around illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and Golan Heights.

Electra Ltd, a subsidiary of [Elco Ltd](https://investigate.afsc.org/company/elco), is an Israeli company that specializes in developing, planning, and constructing residential and industrial buildings, commercial centers, hospitals, public utilities, national infrastructure projects, and more.

The company routinely builds large-scale infrastructure in service of Israel's [illegal settlement enterprise](https://investigate.afsc.org/tags/settlement-industry) in the occupied Palestinian territory, [according to Who Profits](https://whoprofits.org/company/electra/). Electra [was included](https://investigate.afsc.org/updates/un-list) on the 2020 United Nations database of companies doing business in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Electra subsidiaries Electra Elco, FM, and TAAMAL have [provided and constructed](https://whoprofits.org/company/electra/) electricity, lighting, communication, control, and other systems for Highway 60, an intercity road that cuts through the occupied West Bank; [developed](https://whoprofits.org/company/electra/) infrastructure for illegal Israeli settlement councils in the occupied Golan Heights; and [constructed](https://whoprofits.org/company/electra/) buildings for illegal settlement councils in the occupied West Bank. Additionally, Electra subsidiary Electra Infrastructure is involved in building major roadworks and tunnels that connect illegal Israeli settlement neighborhoods in occupied East Jerusalem. Beyond construction, Electra provides other maintenance and transportation services to illegal Israeli settlements. Through public transportation company Electra-Afikim, Electra [operates](https://whoprofits.org/company/electra/) bus lines that service at least 14 illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem. Additionally, the company is involved in a large-scale waste management project that carries wastewater from areas of the occupied West Bank to a purification plant in the occupied Jordan Valley. In addition to its involvement in Israel's illegal settlement enterprise, Electra has built infrastructure for the Israeli military.
