Unlike record-and-playback test tools or model-based testing, Virtuoso uses natural language programming techniques to write and execute flexible tests that can be ‘self-healed’ through machine learning, allowing testers and developers to focus on remaining critical quality issues and edge cases instead of test maintenance.

Resulting browser-based tests are less flaky against change in subsequent test runs because their agents are looking at the web interface and underlying scripts, API calls, document outputs and DOM objects, while semantically understanding end user intent and asserting against objective business outcomes.
