## About

An innovative  operational approach for  desalination, the plant was  designed with energy demand management. The plant provides  potable water for over 1 million people in Israel, with an extremely narrow footprint. 

At the time of awarding, the Hadera desalination plant had  one of the lowest-ever water costs for desalinated water for BOT  (Build-Operate-Transfer) projects worldwide. 

Hadera is recognized as one of the world’s leading SWRO desalination plants, setting a new standard of smart energy consumption.
