In the ABC NEWS app, you can stay up to date with the latest news, follow topics that interest you, and customise your home screen to show state-based or national news.

## Can I use the ABC NEWS app if I am not logged in?

Yes. You will be able to access all ABC NEWS without logging in. However, some features of the new app require login such as saving articles, following topics and setting location.

## How do I set my location?

Your location is based on what is set within your ABC Account settings. You can access your ABC Account settings by tapping the settings button ![Settings icon.PNG](https://help.abc.net.au/hc/article_attachments/11317777965071) in the top right hand corner and then selecting manage account. 

In your account, you can edit your location using your postcode or suburb. This will set the location for your weather and Local News To You card.

## How do I change my state news edition?

Use the customise button ![State icon thing..jpg](https://help.abc.net.au/hc/article_attachments/11317777965967)on the right side of the **All/State/Live Now** toggle to select the state you would like to view.

## How do I find Topics in the ABC NEWS app? 

You can browse a variety of topics on the Topics page in the ABC NEWS app. To access it, tap the **Topics** tab in the bottom right corner of the app and select your preferred topic.

## How do I follow Topics in the ABC NEWS app?  

First, select the **Topics** tab in the bottom right corner of the ABC NEWS app, then choose your desired topic. On the Topic page, tap **Following** in the top right corner to prioritise your selected topics at the top of the page.
