Onyx Boox has just made two variants of the Go Tablet 10.3 available. The new Go 10.3 (Gen II) series is available in two models: a base Go 10.3 Gen 2 and a Go 10.3 Gen 2 Lumi with an adjustable front light with both warm and cool lighting.  The big selling points of both models are Google Android 15, which brings improved security features and smoother performance compared to Android 12, found on the first-generation model. They also have a 300 PPI e-paper display, making reading a more visceral experience. The two models provide lite note-taking functionality and the ability to view and edit PDF files. It supports the InkSense Plus stylus, which provides 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The Onyx Boox Go 10.3 Gen 2 and Go Lumi both feature a 10.3″ E INK Carta 1200 ePaper display that is protected by a glass screen with a flat cover lens. It has a resolution of 2480×1860 and 300 PPI. The base model Gen 2 lacks a front-lit display, whereas the Go Lumi does have one. There is a series of white and amber LED lights that provide warm and cool lighting, allowing users to mix between the two.

The Lumi model is also slightly lighter at 364 grams compared to the Gen 1’s 375 grams, despite adding a front light, although it is 0.2 mm thicker. The base model is the lightest at 360 grams and measures 4.6 mm thick, the same as the original. Aside from the front light and minor weight changes, the rest of the hardware remains unchanged.

Under the hood, the Go 10.3 Gen 2 series has an octa-core processor, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of internal storage. There is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1, and stereo speakers for listening to audiobooks, music, or podcasts. A single microphone is available for audio-to-text notes and for voice communication apps such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, or Discord. A USB-C port is used for charging and is powered by a 3,700 mAh battery.

The main operating system is Google Android 15, and since this is an international release, it has full support for the Google Play Store. Onyx Boox has heavily optimized a few apps to eliminate animations and deliver an excellent experience. This includes Amazon Kindle, Evernote, and Microsoft OneNote. Users can sideload their own e-books via USB and read them in the main Neoreader app. Supported formats include PDF, CAJ, DJVU, CBR, CBZ, EPUB, EPUB3, AZW3, MOBI, TXT, DOC, DOCX, FB2, CHM, RTF, HTML, ZIP, PRC, PPT, and PPTX.
