Kobo CEO Michael Tamblyn has just sent an [email to customers](https://www.reddit.com/r/kobo/s/jKrsPSX2ax), saying the company is working on “developments that will fundamentally change how we read and write on our devices”. This will likely happen in the fall or winter of 2026.  Meanwhile, on the Kobo blog, they recently posted about the things they are working on this summer.

## Kobo Apps & eReaders

### Sync up with [StoryGraph](https://thestorygraph.com/)

[StoryGraph](https://thestorygraph.com/) is an app and website where readers can track the books they read with ratings and reviews, plan future reading, create and participate in reading challenges, and get a nerdy view of their reading habits through a variety of data points. Now you can sync your reading activity directly to StoryGraph—no more device-juggling required to keep track of the books you read on Kobo.

Whether you read on the Kobo app, the Kobo Web Reader or a Kobo eReader, your activity will automatically sync to StoryGraph once you’ve [connected your accounts](https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/articles/40276991427223-Sync-Your-Kobo-Reading-Progress-with-StoryGraph).
