In February 2025, the company reported reaching $100 million in annual recurring revenue.[\[7\]](#cite_note-7)

At that time, the company also announced its agent platform, designed to automate workplace tasks beyond search. The platform became generally available in May 2025.[\[8\]](#cite_note-8)

Glean’s platform combines [enterprise search](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enterprise_search "Enterprise search"), an AI assistant, and AI agents. Its search product integrates with workplace applications to index company data and provide permission-aware results.[\[12\]](#cite_note-12)[\[13\]](#cite_note-13)[\[14\]](#cite_note-14) The AI assistant, introduced in 2021, helps employees find and summarize information across connected systems.[\[15\]](#cite_note-15)[\[16\]](#cite_note-16)[\[17\]](#cite_note-17) In 2025, the company expanded into agent technologies, allowing employees to create and deploy AI agents to automate workflows using natural language instructions.[\[18\]](#cite_note-18)[\[19\]](#cite_note-19)

In March 2019, shortly after its establishment, Glean raised $15 million in [Series A funding](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_A_round "Series A round") co-led by [Kleiner Perkins](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kleiner_Perkins "Kleiner Perkins") and Lightspeed, which included participation from the Slack Fund.[\[20\]](#cite_note-20)[\[21\]](#cite_note-21)[\[22\]](#cite_note-22) In March 2021, the company closed a [Series B funding](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_B_funding "Series B funding") round of $40M led by [General Catalyst](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Catalyst "General Catalyst").[\[23\]](#cite_note-23)[\[24\]](#cite_note-24)

In May 2022, the company secured a $100M [Series C](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_C "Series C") led by [Sequoia Capital](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sequoia_Capital "Sequoia Capital") at a $1B valuation and hit the Unicorn status.[\[25\]](#cite_note-25)[\[26\]](#cite_note-26) In February 2024, Glean raised over $200 million in [Series D](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_D "Series D") funding at a $2.2B valuation.[\[27\]](#cite_note-27)

In September 2024, Glean raised over $260 million in Series E funding, co-led by [Altimeter Capital](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altimeter_Capital "Altimeter Capital") and [DST Global](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DST_Global "DST Global"),[\[28\]](#cite_note-28)[\[29\]](#cite_note-29) taking its valuation to $4.6 billion.[\[30\]](#cite_note-:1-30)
