Easynote was acquired in August 2020, and is today owned by Easynote AB, which is based in [Malmö](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malm%C3%B6 "Malmö"), [Sweden](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden "Sweden"). Since the tool's release, it has been offered to users free of charge,[\[1\]](#cite_note-1) and is designed for both personal and collaborative use.[\[2\]](#cite_note-2) The software can be used by small, medium and large enterprise companies. Easynote was created by Made Solutions International founder Mensur Zahirović, a Bosnian-Swedish developer and tech entrepreneur.[\[3\]](#cite_note-3) Zahirović's previous enterprises included an [e-commerce company](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-commerce "E-commerce"), and Cmok.net,[\[4\]](#cite_note-4) a [social network](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_network "Social network") and [dating site](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_dating_service "Online dating service") in [Bosnia and Herzegovina](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosnia_and_Herzegovina "Bosnia and Herzegovina"). The tool launched in March 2016. The site surpassed 5,000 users in January 2017, seven months after its initial release. Easynote has seen almost a three-fold increase in registrations over a six month period and has 14,900 users,[\[5\]](#cite_note-5) as of July 2017. As of June 2020, Easynote had than 60,000 users. In July 2017, Easynote announced that it's been accepted to exhibit at [Web Summit 2017](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_Summit "Web Summit") technology conference,[\[6\]](#cite_note-6)[\[7\]](#cite_note-7) which took place in [Lisbon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisbon "Lisbon"), [Portugal](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portugal "Portugal") in November 2017. Easynote AB has announced that it is rebuilding Easynote from scratch, to launch the next generation productivity tool and that will be launched in 2021. Easynote has been designed to be able to manage day-to-day tasks with no user training required.[\[8\]](#cite_note-8) Projects are nominated as _to-do lists,_ which contain _tasks_ and _subtasks._ Tasks can be assigned to different members, and users are able to set deadlines, change statuses and assign levels of urgency. _Checklists_ and an _Activity_ map are used to monitor the creation, progression and completion of _todo lists_ and _tasks_.
