Visitors from visa-exempt countries, such as New Zealand, Tonga, Samoa, Cook Islands and Niue, are required to obtain an ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization) before their departure for Israel.

An approved ETA-IL, indicates that you are allowed to travel to Israel and stay for up to 90 days per visit. Your ETA-IL will stay valid for up to 2 years, or until your current passport expires – whichever comes first. If you obtain a new passport or change your name, gender or country of citizenship, you will be required to apply for a new travel authorization.

Please Note:

-   Obtain your [**ETA-IL**](https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/) only at the official government website (the URL ends with "gov.il").
-   The [**ETA-IL**](https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/) costs only 25 Israeli Shekel, which is less than 7 US dollars.
-   You will receive an email notification when PIBA receives your request.
-   You can expect a response to your application within 72 hours of submitting it.
-   PIBA will send a receipt for your payment. If you don't receive a receipt, you haven't used the official [**ETA-IL website**](https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/).
