## What Is Amazon Kids+?

Amazon Kids+ (formerly Amazon FreeTime Unlimited) is a subscription service that provides a curated library of books, apps, games, and videos for children aged 3–12. On Smart TV, it replaces the standard home screen with a simplified, age-appropriate interface.

**Price:** $4.99/month for Prime members, $7.99/month without Prime. Available as a standalone subscription or bundled with an Amazon Kids Edition device.

## Is Amazon Kids+ Enough?

**For children aged 3–7:** Amazon Kids+ is excellent as a primary environment. Young children don't need access to Netflix or YouTube, and the curated library is substantial. Pair it with a 1–1.5 hour daily limit (set within Kids+) and it works well.

**For children aged 8+:** Kids+ becomes too restrictive. Children this age want to watch their shows on Netflix and Disney+, and Kids+ mode blocks those apps. You'll need a different solution.
