## Managed QA services. Done for you.

QA outsourcing, without the outsourcing.

A forward-deployed QA engineer plans coverage, builds your tests on Bug0's agentic AI engine, verifies results, files bugs, and gates releases. Your entire QA function. No hires.

Discounted 60-day pilot. Critical flows covered in your first week.

Managed testing services are an arrangement where an outside team owns your QA function outright. The vendor plans the coverage, builds the tests, runs them in your pipeline, fixes them when they break, triages the failures and gates your releases. You are buying an outcome rather than a tool or a contractor.

The naming is inconsistent across the market. QA testing services, software QA services, quality assurance testing services and managed QA all get used for the same arrangement, and most vendors mean nothing different by them. Compare what sits inside the scope rather than what the page happens to be called.

The model exists because QA is continuous work that most teams cannot staff for. Testing never finishes, the suite needs attention every week, and a hire takes months to land and longer to ramp. Older managed testing vendors answered that by pooling offshore manual testers and billing by the hour, a model built for cost control rather than release speed. That is [QA outsourcing](https://bug0.com/p/ai-qa-outsourcing), and it is still most of what this market sells.

Bug0 runs the model on an AI engine instead. A named forward-deployed engineer plans and authors your coverage on Bug0's agentic AI, the engine executes it and heals the tests as your UI changes, and the engineer verifies every result before it reaches you. One fixed fee, from $2,500 a month, month to month.

1-2 weeksFrom kickoff to your critical flows running in CI

### What a managed testing service covers

Test planning

Your engineer maps the product and decides what needs covering, then agrees the list with you. You never have to describe your flows or write the plan yourself.

Test authoring

The engineer builds the tests on Bug0's AI engine. Critical flows are live in one to two weeks and full coverage lands inside four.

Execution

Smoke checks run on every pull request and full regression packs run nightly, inside your CI, with logs, screenshots and video attached to every failure.

Maintenance

Tests heal themselves when your UI changes, so broken locators never reach your backlog. The engineer confirms each heal, which is what stops a healed test from passing while it checks nothing.

Triage and bug filing

A person looks at every failure and decides whether it is a real bug. The real ones get filed with repro steps, video and network logs attached.

Release gating

Merges gate on the checks, and a weekly digest covers coverage, pass rate, flake rate and whatever is blocking.

Infrastructure

Browsers, environments, parallel execution, secrets handling and CI wiring sit on Bug0's side. You point us at staging and we take it from there.

Bug0 covers web apps. For the specific test types that sit inside this scope, see [end-to-end testing](https://bug0.com/p/e2e-testing), [regression testing](https://bug0.com/p/regression-testing), and [functional testing services](https://bug0.com/p/functional-testing-services).

## Your QA options today are bad.

$400KLoaded annual cost of a 3-person in-house QA team

Hiring a QA team takes six months. QA outsourcing companies send offshore manual testers who bill by the hour. QA consulting firms hand you a SOW and a deck. Staff augmentation gives you a contractor you still have to manage. None of it ships features faster.

Bug0 Managed replaces the whole option set with one service. From $2,500/month, critical flows covered in your first week. We ship tests, file bugs, and gate releases. Weekly.

### What are managed QA services?

A managed QA service is a done-for-you arrangement where a vendor owns test planning, test creation, execution, maintenance, and release gating on your behalf. Bug0 Managed combines agentic AI for test generation with a forward-deployed QA engineer who owns the outcome end to end.

[Inside Bug0's AI testing services](https://bug0.com/knowledge-base/ai-testing-services)

### How is Bug0 different from QA outsourcing companies?

Traditional QA outsourcing firms (A1QA, QASource, Cigniti) bill hourly for manual or scripted offshore testers. Bug0 Managed is a fixed-fee QA outsourcing alternative: AI-generated automation with one dedicated engineer onshore. Same coverage, faster, no headcount.

[QA outsourcing vs QA as a Service](https://bug0.com/blog/ai-qa-as-a-service)

### How is Bug0 different from QA as a Service?

QA as a Service (QAaaS) productizes manual QA into a subscription. Bug0 productizes the full QA function: automation, maintenance, and release gating, all for $2,500/mo flat. Think QAaaS, but agentic and fully automated.

[The case for QA as a Service in 2026](https://bug0.com/blog/ai-qa-as-a-service)

### How is Bug0 different from QA consulting firms?

QA consulting firms (Infosys, Andersen, Capgemini) sell strategy decks and process audits. Bug0 sells outcomes. Green CI checks and triaged bugs, every week. No SOW. No discovery phase. No quarterly business review.

## What is a forward-deployed engineer for QA?

A forward-deployed engineer (FDE) is a Bug0 engineer assigned to one customer: you. They join your Slack, work in your timezone, and sit in your sprint. They analyze your app, plan coverage, generate Passmark-based Playwright tests, verify every run, file bugs with repro steps, and gate your releases. Not a pooled tester. Not an account manager. An engineer whose only job is your QA.

One FDE covers you up to 500 user flows. Past that, pricing scales pro rata and we add another engineer when your scope needs it. Behind every FDE sits Bug0's platform team handling infra, CI wiring, and engine improvements.

## What your team gets with Bug0.

Four parts. One monthly fee. Everything you'd hire a QA team to do.

01

### Agentic AI engine.

Built on Passmark, our open-source Playwright library for AI testing. It plans, generates, and heals browser tests automatically, then hands off to forward-deployed engineers for review. Stable coverage in CI/CD without team overhead. Zero vendor lock-in.

[Why we open-sourced Passmark](https://bug0.com/blog/why-we-open-sourced-passmark-ai-regression-testing-framework)

02

### Dedicated QA engineer.

One named forward-deployed engineer (FDE), dedicated to your account, backed by Bug0's platform team. They join your sprint and Slack, review AI-generated tests, triage failures, file actionable bugs, and gate releases in CI. QA runs inside your sprint, not beside it.

03

### Managed infrastructure & CI/CD.

Bug0 handles environments, browsers, and CI so you don't have to. From PR smoke to nightly regressions, tests run in your pipeline with full logs and artifacts. Scales as your releases grow.

## Every kind of browser test, every release.

End-to-end flows

We test real user journeys that mirror production use, from sign up and authentication to checkout, roles and permissions, and data export. Validate the full payment workflow in a SaaS dashboard or a purchase flow in an e-commerce app. [Software testing strategies →](https://bug0.com/blog/software-testing-strategies)

Scheduled tests

Automated test runs on a schedule: daily, nightly, or before a release to keep stability between deployments. Nightly runs verifying login, billing, and key dashboard actions before each workday. [Release testing, explained →](https://bug0.com/knowledge-base/release-testing)

Regression testing

Checks that recent merges don't break existing functionality across the app. Runs in CI and as part of your release cycle. Validating that the settings page or onboarding flow still works after a UI refactor. [The regression-testing ROI trap →](https://bug0.com/blog/regression-testing-roi-trap-2026)

Smoke tests

Quick sanity checks that confirm critical pages and actions work right after a deploy. Verifying sign in, home page load, and API health post-deploy. [PR testing without slowing devs down →](https://bug0.com/blog/pull-request-testing-how-to-automate-qa-without-slowing-down-developers-in-2026)

Cross-browser & responsive

Validate your app across major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and common viewports. Ensuring forms and charts render correctly on desktop, tablet, and mobile. [Making a site mobile-friendly in 2026 →](https://bug0.com/blog/how-to-make-a-website-mobile-friendly-in-2026)

Real device + OS testing

Confirm UI and behavior on real devices and operating systems when needed. Running suites on macOS Safari, Windows Edge, iOS Safari, and Android Chrome.

Custom flows

Design tests for business-specific workflows and integrations. Multi-step admin approvals, analytics exports, or payment and CRM integrations. [QA best practices →](https://bug0.com/blog/qa-best-practices)
