Rachel Shalom

**Job:** Principal Data Scientist, Dell Technologies

**Course:** AI-Powered Data Science

(formerly Y-DATA)

I realized that as a product manager in a travel tech startup, I needed heavy tools to analyze data, do predictions and more. So I started checking all kinds of data science boot camps, and machine learning academies, but unlike most of them, Y-DATA looked realistic. I chose Y-DATA because one year is better in terms of understanding things. Also, I could combine it with my previous work.

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67e16eb180bb6d0148b42af4/69419696721e9fb10e615ebd_Image-6%20\(1\).avif)

Yael Hamrani

**Job:** Data Science & Integration R&D Engineer

**Course:** LLM Engineering Essentials

The course is practical, insightful, and the community aspect adds a lot of value. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to meaningfully expand their AI skill set.

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67e16eb180bb6d0148b42af4/696f8af669d4f8e952a964c0_Image%20\(1\).avif)

Dina Karakash

**Job:** Venture Partner and Head of AI & Research

**Course:** Intro to ML from an LLM Standpoint

Most students were already in the field, tackling real AI challenges — from building models and AI agents to applying flexible AI frameworks in specific industries. The lecturers were both researchers and practitioners deeply passionate about AI. This course went well beyond 36 hours of content.

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67e16eb180bb6d0148b42af4/69419791dcdec396e09ebec4_Image-3.avif)

Ido Nissim

**Job:** Data Engineer at AllCloud

**Course:** AI-Powered Data Science

(formerly Y-DATA)

I think the very best thing about the course is the people. The selection of the students for the course was really good. Heterogeneous people from all kinds of fields and different backgrounds — that’s really good. We had some projects together, and worked as groups, which was a good way to get to know other people. We were all sitting in the classroom together, talking and trying to figure out how to do the homework later on. It’s great.

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67e16eb180bb6d0148b42af4/694195f01f99c0ac5487adfa_Image-7.avif)

Andi Mardinsyah

**Job:** Data Scientist

**Course:** Practical Generative Al

I chose the Generative AI program from Nebius Academy because of its well-structured curriculum that balances theory and practice. The first module on Generative AI applications was extremely useful, especially with its hands-on coding approach. Despite my busy schedule, the short yet informative lectures made learning manageable. This program is a great fit for Data Scientists working with NLP and LLM, and I’d definitely recommend it to my colleagues.

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67e16eb180bb6d0148b42af4/694197e36cd5f9081437051d_Image-1.avif)

Liad Yosef

**Job:** Principal Software Engineer, Shopify

**Course:** AI-Powered Data Science

(formerly Y-DATA)

You know they say go with your passion, right? I’ve been programming since I was a kid, but I never really dealt with Data Science or Machine Learning before Y-Data. I already knew the math part of the introductory courses but they were so fast-paced that I wasn’t bored and quickly enough we got into supervised learning and deep learning. This gave me the tools to do things that I couldn’t have done before, and let me explore and widen the area of my thoughts.

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67e16eb180bb6d0148b42af4/6941973ce651e419f2f6ce63_Image-4.avif)

Tal Heletz

**Job:** Deep Learning Researches at Trigo

**Course:** AI-Powered Data Science

(formerly Y-DATA)

It was obvious to me that math is the field for me. I did my B.Sc and M.Sc in math. In the industry, you can do a lot with math, but you must have knowledge in computer science as well. Y-Data was exactly right for me — it let me combine my background with computer science and strong data science foundations.

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67e16eb180bb6d0148b42af4/6941980d7dbb99932c3381b2_Image.avif)

Andrey Nikitin

**Job:** Data Science Manager, Cyera

**Course:** AI-Powered Data Science

(formerly Y-DATA)

The course is great, I think it’s the best professional course I have taken and for me personally, it’s a good substitution for a master’s degree (for now). Even though I’m already working as a Data Scientist i still learn new things, there are always fields that I’m less proficient in and the course fills the gap.

## Any other questions?

How does the application process work?

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67af0fb7b48edc18a23f4d58/693b30354e7b5b2fbb19c88e_plus.svg)

The application process consists of three steps. First, candidates apply online through our website. Second, candidates take an online test. The test assesses analytical and basic programming skills and contains a programming task and a basic-level machine learning task.

‍

We will offer a separate four-day window for candidates to take the online test during the application process. Candidates who pass the test will be invited to an interview with our team. The interview is an opportunity for us to learn more about each candidate’s background, experience, and interests.

What level of coding skills is required to enter the program? Do you require knowledge of specific languages?

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67af0fb7b48edc18a23f4d58/693b30354e7b5b2fbb19c88e_plus.svg)

We require confident experience in Python and an understanding of common data structures. Programming tasks make up a large portion of the online test and require an existing programming background. During the program itself, the courses and home assignments will be in Python.

Do I need to know machine learning to take this course?

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67af0fb7b48edc18a23f4d58/693b30354e7b5b2fbb19c88e_plus.svg)

A basic understanding of machine learning and some foundational ML skills are recommended to feel comfortable with the material.

What is the time commitment for this program? Can I combine it with work or academic studies?

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67af0fb7b48edc18a23f4d58/693b30354e7b5b2fbb19c88e_plus.svg)

We offer 6 weekly hours of lectures, in addition to 20–25 hours of independent work on assignments and projects. We advise participants to keep at least one full weekday free in order to get the most from the program.

‍

Israel has long been a key region for Nebius, a global AI infrastructure company. We recently won the national call to build large-scale AI training infrastructure here and opened a local data center. Offering the AI Performance Engineer program for free through Nebius Academy, Nebius’s educational and research arm, is part of our long-term commitment to the Israeli tech community and its future engineers.

Since 2018, we’ve trained hundreds of specialists who now work at leading Israeli tech companies. Now we want to make this level of education available to even more people.

What is the difference between the Supervised Learning (Guided) Track and the Unsupervised Learning (Independent) Track?

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67af0fb7b48edc18a23f4d58/693b30354e7b5b2fbb19c88e_plus.svg)

The main difference is the level of support. Our Supervised Learning (Guided) Track includes expert feedback, cloud credits, a program certificate, and career support (mock interviews, HR workshops, industry prep). The Unsupervised Learning (Independent) Track provides access to lectures, materials, recordings, and the learning community but does not include mentorship, practical projects, or career support.

Staying in the Supervised Learning Track requires completing assignments and scoring at least 50% in each module. Otherwise, you’ll switch to the Unsupervised Learning Track.

What is the language of the program?

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67af0fb7b48edc18a23f4d58/693b30354e7b5b2fbb19c88e_plus.svg)

The program is taught entirely in English.

Where does the program take place?

![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/67af0fb7b48edc18a23f4d58/693b30354e7b5b2fbb19c88e_plus.svg)

Classes are held on campus at Tel Aviv University. While online attendance is an option, we encourage you to join us in person to maximize the value of both the community and the learning experience.
